Pacific Crest Trail FKT Attempt

This summer I’m heading west to attempt a self-supported Fastest Known Time on the Pacific Crest Trail, and fundraise for the Pacific Crest Trail Association!
While this attempt is self-supported in the sense that I’ll be solo backpacking and following all self-supported guidelines, it wouldn’t be happening without the important work by the PCTA and volunteers who protect, advocate for, and maintain the trail; the support of my family, partner, friends, cat sitter, my awesome community of newsletter readers and supporters, and the trail running and hiking community at large.
Huge thank you to Mountain Hardwear for outfitting me, providing my equipment, and supporting me on this grand adventure.
And special thank you to Altra and Hiker Trash for providing my footwear and socks!
Join Me in Protecting the PCT!
The Pacific Crest Trail needs our help. Severe winter storms have caused major damage, and recent federal budget cuts have halted many planned repairs. The Pacific Crest Trail Association, which helps care for the trail, is operating with approximately one-third less federal grant money than anticipated. That means:
Damaged sections are going unrepaired
Fewer crews and volunteers can safely maintain the trail
Fragile ecosystems are left at risk
